Poettker Making Progress on O’Fallon, Ill. Middle School
O’FALLON, Ill. – Poettker Construction Co. broke ground in September on additions and renovations to Joseph Arthur Middle School in O’Fallon’s Central School District #104.
Poettker is serving as the construction manager and Cordogan Clark the designer for the 26,000-square-foot expansion and 10,900-square-foot renovations.
The facility expansion encompasses three new additions: a new ICC-rated competition gymnasium, which will also serve as the campus’s first-ever storm shelter; a new full-serve commercial kitchen and serving spaces to replace the existing, outdated, undersized cafeteria; and an education wing featuring 10 new classrooms for 4th through 6th-grade students.
The project also includes light renovations to common spaces including the entry lobby to improve traffic flow throughout the building.
This campus-wide project is expected to be completed in time for the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year.
