Jarrell Mechanical Project Partner on New Hershey Plant
HERSHEY, Pa. – Jarrell Mechanical Contractors is working steadily as a specialty subcontractor on the new Hershey Co. facility in Hershey, Pa.
The Earth City, Mo.-based company is on the project team that is building and commissioning a 250,000-square-foot, $1 billion production plant on 55 acres near its existing Reese’s plant. The plant will support production capabilities for its iconic candy brands.
According to Hersey Co. officials, construction of the new facility is part of its multi-year plan of expanding existing operations while developing additional capacity.
Hershey’s investment includes this new plant and the addition of 13 production lines plus upgrading of 11 existing lines in other North America facilities.
The new facility is expected to be operational in early 2024.
Jarrell Mechanical works not only in the St. Louis region and in Pennsylvania but across other U.S. states as well.
