HCA Designing Missouri S&T Welcome Center

ROLLA, Mo. – Hastings+Chivetta has been engaged by Missouri University of Science and Technology to develop a new, 31,379-square-foot welcome center.
Missouri S&T has a national reputation and prominence for the quality of its engineering education. The campus is working dilligently to align its facilities with the excellence of the educational experience.
The welcome center will be located in the heart of a new arrival court and support the university’s recruitment goals while creating a positive first impression for potential students.
New students will be welcomed by a large, light-filled three-story lobby space with ample seating and displays of student technology projects. The lobby is also a prefunction area for the large event space that serves potential students and as a venue for special campus functions.
An outdoor plaza supports the event space, and a front porch-style area lets students gather outdoors.
The Missouri S&T admissions department will relocate to this facility in office spaces and meeting rooms on the second and third floor.
The welcome center will be supported by underground parkign and access to a prominent campus walkway for campus tours.
December 2025 is the estimated date of completion.
