FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. – Burns & McDonnell is handling construction bids for a new terminal at Waynesville-St. Robert Regional Airport in Fort Leonard Wood.

The terminal, which will begin construction in 2026, is happening thanks to a $1 million Federal Aviation Administration airport improvement grant.

In 2023, the airport provided service for more than 10,000 passengers, double what it had handled in 2022.

The airport sits 90 miles from the next-closest airports in Sprinfield and Columbia, Mo.
