Discovery Park Construction Underway in Lee’s Summit, Mo.
LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. – Emery Sapp & Sons has begun construction on a nearly $1 billion master development of a 268-acre, mixed-use development in Lee’s Summit, 20 miles south-southeast of Kansas City, Mo.
Columbia-based Intrinsic Development recently celebrated a groundbreaking on the development, which is to include a luxury multifamily community, entertainment and hospitality offerings, retail, restaurants and office plus medical office space.
According to the City of Lee’s Summit, at full build-out Discovery Park may include 3.9 million square feet of construction with a riverwalk amenity and related features.
The site is situated north across Interstate 470 from Saint Luke’s East Hospital.
Completion of the entire project is estimated to occur in 2031.
