Chain of Rocks Bridge to Gain New Park
ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The 1929 Chain of Rocks Bridge is getting a major upgrade in the form of a new park.
The park, which opens April 14, is located on the Missouri side of the mile-long bridge that spans the Mississippi River from St. Louis, Mo. to Madison, Ill.
Partners in the Chain of Rocks Park project include Great Rivers Greenway. The park features restored wetlands, woodlands and prairies, key security upgrades, a playground, event law and food truck area, picnic spaces and more.
