Clayco to Begin Building Rivian EV Plant in Early 2024
SOCIAL CIRCLE, Ga. – Clayco is prepping the site where a state-of-the-art, $5 billion electric vehicle auto manufacturing plant will begin operations in 2026.
The 1,800-acre EV plant site is located in Stanton Springs, Ga., 40 miles east of Atlanta.
Rivian, whose headquarters is in Irvine, Calif., manufactures all-electric commercial fleet vehicles, pick-up trucks and SUVs. The company also makes outdoor recreation vehicles. Rivian has already completed its own in-house design and has added design architect Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and engineer of record Jacobs to the project team. Rivian is projecting the creation of 7,500 jobs at the new plant.
Construction will begin in January.
