Sullivan County Community Hospital Begins $70 Mil Expansion
SULLIVAN, Ind. – A community hospital in a city 40 minutes due south of Terre Haute has begun construction as part of a major multi-phase expansion.
Sullivan County Community Hospital is embarking on a $70 million expansion to expand patient access.
On Feb. 20, construction crews broke ground on a 30,000-square-foot medical office building that will serve as the hospital’s future pain management services hub.
Sullivan County Community Hospital is considered a critical access hospital because it’s the only hospital within a 35-mile radius.
Construction is anticipated to wrap up in early Spring 2025.
Space in the main hospital facility – which is now being utilized for pain management services – will transition into care for those with opiod use disorders and alcohol disorders once the new building opens.
