CINCINNATI, Ohio. – The Ohio Dept. of Transportation and The Great Lakes Construction Co. are marking a major completion in Phase 5B of a $84.9 million segment of interstate work that is reconstructing bridges and ramps.

On Feb. 26, crews celebrated the reopening of the busy Interstate 75 northbound ramp from to I-74 and the also-busy I-75 southbound ramp to I-74 westbound. This stretch, known as Mill Creek Parkway, has an average daily traffic count of 150,000 to 175,000, according to ODOT.

The Great Lakes Construction Co. began Phase 5B in Spring 2022 and is on schedule to complete it by Summer 2025. Crews are reconstructing the I-74 bridges over Spring Grove Avenue and Elmore Street.

Additional work yet to be performed includes replacing median barriers, pavement, lighting and more.
