NextGen Center for Influenza Research, Phase II Starts Construction

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Phase II of work to build an 8,300-square-foot addition to the University of Missouri – Columbia’s NextGen Center for Influenza Research at Middlebush Farm has begun.

The build is increasing capacity of the existing center. Its scope includes the construction of additional space for research on influenza and infectious diseases.

Future additions are also planned – approximately 10,000 square feet each – on the north and south ends of the research facility.

The 8,300-square-foot addition is expected to reach completion in May 2025.
