Cannon Design Plans for U of I Everitt Lab 2nd Floor Buildout
URBANA, Ill. – Cannon Design has completed plans and bids are now being sought to expand the second floor of the University of Illinois Urbana – Champaign Everitt Lab.
The Dept. of Bioengineering’s wet lab is home to more than 20 faculty members and graduate student researchers. Its research emphasis includes synthetic bioengineering, computational systems biology, molecular, cellular and tissue engineering, bioimaging and bio-micro nanotechnology areas.
Expansion plans include the buildout of a second-floor wet lab in existing, unused shell space and buildout of storage areas for lab equipment, cell and tissue work and microscopy equipment. Plans also include the installation of a carbon dioxide manifold system.
The project will further Everitt Lab’s mission of operating as a center for translating engineering advances and technology.
