BANGOR, Maine – The biggest vertical construction project in Bangor is the Cathy Gero Bangor Region YMCA.
Located downtown on Main Street, the $58 million community and wellness center is actively being built.
The significant scope of vertical construction includes a large, state-of-the-art facility featuring comprehensive health and wellness spaces, gymnasiums, pools and childcare areas.
The construction manager leading the construction is A/Z Corporation, a subsidiary of Maine-based construction giant Cianbro Corporation.
Local design and engineering are being handled by SMRT Architects and Engineers.
Construction of the new facility is expected to complete in Fall 2027.
