DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. – DC BLOX, a Southeast data center and dark fiber provider, is building two new data center campuses in Georgia.
Evans General Contractors is heading up the design-build delivery of ATL-West (ATL1), a 180-megawatt data center campus on 55 acres in Douglasville, 20 miles west of Atlanta. The two-story structure will build out a dozen 10-megawatt data halls in 750,000 square feet.
In addition, ATL-East (ATL2) will be built on 72 acres in Conyers, 25 miles east of downtown Atlanta.
These projects will address the growing needs of hyperscale and artificial intelligence/machine learning platform and application provider tenants in Atlanta.
Overall, the city has become a Tier 1 data center location and is currently the fifth largest data center market in the country behind northern Virginia, Dallas-Fort Worth, Phoenix and Chicago.
