FORT BLISS, Texas – Clark Design/Build, LLC is continuing design and preconstruction of a $617.5 million outpatient healthcare facility for veterans on 36 acres at Fort Bliss, adjacent to El Paso.

The client is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District.

When completed, the 493,000-square-foot healthcare mecca will offer U.S. Veterans primary care, mental health care and ambulatory surgery. The impetus for the project is the increasing influx of retiring veterans to the Southwest, including Texas.

Clark has delivered more than 130 heathcare projects over the past 10 years, totalling 20 million square feet and more than 5,100 hospital beds. Clark built the 1.3 million-square-foot William Beaumont Army Medical Center that is located near where the new veterans campus is being constructed.

The future veterans center at Fort Bliss will serve an estimated 54,000 veterans across the El Paso region.

It is estimated that construction will commence in late 2024 or early 2025.
