ST. LOUIS, Mo. – More than $3 billion in new capital improvement construction project opportunities in the St. Louis region will be introduced to 700-plus local construction industry contractors and other partners Feb. 20 at the eighth-annual Investment in Infrastructure Expo sponsored by the SITE Improvement Association.

Officials from 28 government agencies, municipalities, utilities and private investor groups will spend the afternoon at the St. Charles Convention Center meeting with local contractors, engineers and other industry professionals to discuss their upcoming projects in a trade show floor networking environment that will also feature exhibits by dozens of equipment dealers and suppliers.

The Expo is an annual construction industry event dedicated to building relationships, making connections, learning about planned projects and improving bid opportunities. The event will run from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

“The large amount of new federal and state infrastructure investments flowing into the St. Louis region over the next five years will enhance our region’s competitiveness, create good jobs and make our economy stronger for decades to come,” said Jeremy Bennett, executive director of SITE Improvement Association. “The Expo provides all construction industry partners a close look at what lies ahead in terms of projects large and small for our region, ranging from the Missouri Dept. of Transportation’s widening of Interstate 70 across Missouri to watershed improvements in backyards. We strongly encourage the construction community to engage with one another at this truly unique event.”
