PARK CITY, Utah – Downhill skiers will enjoy the fruits of a multi-year transformation of the Canyons Village base in Park City.

The project at Park City Mountain includes the final, multi-level phases of a five-story parking structure that is being built with sustainable beetle-kill lodgepole pine and the Canyons Village Skyway – a fully enclosed, 10-person gondola designed to transport skiers, snowboarders and visitors from the lower parking area.

The active construction period for the current phase of the Canyons Village Transformation spans from March 30 through late fall 2026, with the goal of being fully complete for the 2026–2027 winter ski season.

Because the Canyons Village Transformation is an umbrella master-plan expansion composed of distinct infrastructure phases, there is no single master budget or lone general contractor for the entire multi-year footprint. Instead, the project is divided among multiple entities:

1. The Canyons Village Multi-Level Parking Garage

• The massive 1,840-space covered parking structure is being funded through a newly established Public Infrastructure District, which allows the master developer to raise money via municipal bonds.
• Master landholder TCFC Finance is developing the project alongside the Canyons Village Management Association. Structural and design work is led by Reaveley Engineers and the Elliott Workgroup, while localized site/road entry work has involved regional builders such as Greystone Construction.

2. The New 10-Person Skyway Gondola

• Replacing the iconic Cabriolet open-air lift, the new high-capacity Skyway gondola has an infrastructure and lift equipment cost totaling $27 million. The cost is split between Vail Resorts and the CVMA.

• Major ropeway manufacturer Leitner-Poma was awarded the contract to construct the new gondola.

3. Individual Village Real Estate Phase

• Elevation Enclave: This luxury enclave is managed by Columbus Pacific Development and built by general contractor Mountain Pacific Construction.
