OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – Just south of Bricktown, city leaders of Oklahoma City gathered June 1 for a groundbreaking of the new MAPS 4 Multipurpose Stadium, a $121 million venue that will serve as the home for the city’s United Soccer League team.
Kansas City, Mo.-based Populous is the stadium’s designer. Oklahoma City-based Lingo Construction is serving as the construction manager.
The stadium will also be used for school sports, large-scale concerts and the yet-to-be-announced United Football League franchise.
The 10,000-seat venue is expected to open in 2028 and will be located on nine acres donated to the city by investment firm Echo Investment Capital. The stadium is expected to anchor a new sports and entertainment district near Bricktown, developed by Echo in partnership with Robinson Park.
