OAHU, Hawaii – The largest mixed-use development and single major construction undertaking in Hawaii in 2026 is the $4 billion Aloha Stadium Entertainment District on Oahu. The massive public-private initiative is coming to fruition over the next 20 years.

Earlier this year, tower cranes moved in to begin the deliberate dismantling and demolition of the old stadium.

The first phase – the new stadium and surrounding “Aloha Live” entertainment zone – is by itself valued in the billions, with the new stadium targeted to open in early 2029.

Future phases will introduce 4,100 housing units, hotel towers and retail between now and 2046.

The primary master developer and contractor for the New Aloha Stadium Entertainment District is Aloha Hālawa District Partners. AHDP is a consortium responsible for demolishing the old stadium and designing, constructing and maintaining the new venue.

Lead developers are Stanford Carr Development and The Cordish Company.

Hawaiian Dredging Construction Company and AECOM Hunt are the general contractors, with architecture provided by Populous, RMA Architects and WCIT Architects.
