CARBONDALE, Ill. – IMPACT Strategies, Inc. announces the completion of the Tedrick Welcome Center for the Southern Illinois University Foundation in Carbondale, Ill.

This is a transformational addition to campus and the first major construction project on university grounds in more than a decade.

Funded by the SIU Foundation, the new 44,000-square-foot, two-story, state-of-the-art facility serves as the front door for the university welcoming prospective student visits, donor engagement, alumni activities and campus and community events for decades to come.

The Tedrick Welcome Center features a visitor center designed to host conferences, lectures, seminars and catered events for up to 300 guests, as well as a dedicated philanthropy center that now serves as the home of the SIU Foundation. Designed with sustainability in mind, the facility incorporates geothermal heating and cooling along with other energy-efficient systems to support long-term environmental stewardship.

IMPACT Strategies worked in close collaboration with Hafer Design to ensure the successful execution of the project’s complex design in turn, delivering a high-quality facility aligned with the vision of the foundation and its various stakeholders. This collaborative approach helped streamline construction, delivering the project ahead of schedule and under budget.
