The College of New Rochelle
Office of Mission and Identity presents

A lecture by Robert Ellsberg celebrating the life of Dorothy Day

Throughout her life Dorothy Day kept diaries recounting her experience of historic events, persons and places as well as the challenges and struggles of her life. Honoring her request that these diaries not be made public until 25 years after her death, they were officially released last year in a volume entitled THE DUTY OF DELIGHT . This volume, which contains entries from the 1930’s to the 1970’s, has been compiled, edited, and includes commentary by Robert Ellsberg who is a former managing editor of The Catholic Worker and was a close colleague of Dorothy Day during the last five years of her life.
