Honoring her request that these diaries not be made public until 25 years after her death, they were officially released last year in a volume entitled THE DUTY OF DELIGHT. This volume, which contains entries from the 1930’s to the 1970’s, has been compiled, edited, and includes commentary by Robert Ellsberg who is a former managing editor of The Catholic Worker and was a close colleague of Dorothy Day during the last five years of her life.
